Such a tragedy and travesty – Israel has been deserted by most of the world – Eli Sharabi – HAMAS former hostage – bravely spoke in front of the UN about his experience and the horrendous situation faced by the remaining hostages. He had been held hostage in the most inhumane of conditions for 491 days and much of the world has ignored this aspect of the Israel/Gaza conflict.

In fact, it is Israel’s response to the unprovoked jihadist/Palestinian attack on October 7th 2023 and Her attempts to rescue and free the hostages and even claiming the bodies of the dead hostages of those who died, were murdered whilst in captivity or even had been murdered on that fateful day and who’s bodies were taken for ransom, which has kept this horror ongoing for so long.

A human tragedy of untold, but epic proportions and yet the majority of the world’s focus is on the Israeli response, rather that the acts of atrocities which were and still ARE being carried-out by both the Islamic jihadists and the Palestinians, (who aid and abet the HAMAS members) – it’s truly shocking to me – my heart aches at the whole horrifying situation.

Despite President Trump’s verbal interventions, especially after he had personal visits from 10 of the freed hostages in the White House, and his consequent threats to HAMAS and the Palestinians who assist them, the nightmares continue for the all of the families and friends of those who are still being held hostage.

POTUS Trump’s messages:

In his social media post, Trump said there would be “hell to pay” if the hostages were not released, while not specifying the nature of the support he was sending Israel.

“Release all of the hostages now, not later, and immediately return all of the dead bodies of the people you murdered, or it is OVER for you,” he added.

“For the leadership, now is the time to leave Gaza, while you still have a chance.”

He also appeared to issue a wider threat: “Also, to the People of Gaza: A beautiful Future awaits, but not if you hold Hostages. If you do, you are DEAD!”

Hamas spokesman Hazem Qassem said in a statement that such threats “complicate matters regarding the ceasefire agreement and encourage the occupation [Israel] to avoid implementing its terms”.

It’s not the first time Trump has threatened Hamas. In December, he said there would be “all hell to pay” if hostages were not released by the time he took office.
